Using RSS Technology in Instruction

September 21st, 2005

An instructional technology training session will be held on Friday, September 23rd, 2005 from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the W.E. James Building, Room 218. This training session is open to all CBU faculty members (part-time and full-time).

This session will focus on the use of RSS (Rich Site Summary) for instruction. Many pages that have refreshing content, such as blog pages, use RSS technology. It is my understanding that RSS “feeds” can be plugged into a RSS reader and/or Web page. By doing this, current content is displayed from the original source. Attendees will learn how to integrate RSS content in their Blackboard courses.

For more information, please contact Robert Shields at (951) 343-4504 (office phone) or rshields@calbaptist.edu (email).
